 Valley Residents Find Sky Harbor Convenient and Safe 

 

           

InMay 2003, 413 respondents were interviewed at random in the Phoenix Metropolitanarea.WestGroup Research asked themto rate the convenience and safety of new check-in and security procedures atPhoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

 

How would you rate the convenience of new check-in andsecurity procedures at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport?Would you say very convenient,convenient, inconvenient, or very inconvenient?

 

Mostrespondents (78%) had opinions.The following table is based to 322 respondents with opinions.

 

 

Ofthose with an opinion two out of three (67%) said procedures areconvenient.High income respondents($75,000 or more annually) were most likely to see them as convenient(81%).

 

How safe do you feel flying into orout of Sky Harbor? Would you say very safe, safe, unsafe, or veryunsafe?

 

Mostrespondents had an opinion (90%).The following chart is based to 373 respondents withopinions.Thevast majority of those who expressed opinions (95%) feel safe flying into or outof Sky Harbor.

 

 

About WestTrack

WestTrack is a telephone omnibus study conducted by WestGroup Research every month since 1971. 

WestTrack surveys the Phoenix Metropolitan area and statewide Arizona with monthly random samples of 400 adults. The sample accurately represents the market within plus or minus 5% at 95% confidence. Your question results are cross-tabulated by WestTrack demographics: age, gender, and household income. Other demographics available on request are: occupation, marital status, children in household, length of residence, city, Zip code areas, and education.

Interviewing schedule is the 5th to the 25th each month.  Topline data for your proprietary questions are available the 5th of the following month with a full report about the 15th.

Cost for one question* in any month on either study is $500.  Cost includes question design, data collection, data tabulation, and narrative report.  Cost for each additional question in the same month is $450.  Cost to repeat a question in a later month is $400.

*A question is defined as one which requires a response to a single thought. For example, "What fast food restaurants can you name?" is one question. "What can you tell me about the quality of the food at each fast food restaurant in Phoenix?" would count as one question for each fast food restaurant of interest.
