Steve Rao

Steve Rao is President of DWL Architects + Planners, Inc., one of Arizona’s most dynamic and respected locally-owned architecture firms. Over the past 20 years at DWL, he has managed more than $650 million worth of aviation work at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. His technical expertise encompasses a wide-ranging scope of transportation-related projects, not only at airports throughout the state, but also at U.S. Border Stations in Southern Arizona and Valley Metro’s new light rail system.

Steve received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Columbia University and a Masters of Architecture in Energy Efficient Design from Arizona State University.  Steve has been practicing architecture in the Valley since 1979. In addition to his membership in the American Institute of Architects, Steve is also actively involved in the Arizona Airports Association and Airport Consultants Council.
