Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport 2005 Poll -- Executive Summary
The scientific poll was commissioned by Support Sky Harbor Coalition. The randomly selected survey contacted 500 residents throughout the Valley.
With a margin of error of + or - 4%, the Behavior Research Center poll explored the evaluation of noise as a quality of life issue and compared noise, including aircraft noise, to other quality of life issues. The study also explored the importance, usage of, and satisfaction with Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

SKY HARBOR
94% of the respondents indicated that having a major international airport in the community is important to the economy of the Valley. Likewise, 91% believe Sky Harbor is important to the quality of life of the Valley.
Underscoring prior findings, 78% of Valley households reported having one or more persons board a domestic or international flight at an average of seven times a year.
93% of Valley residents consider Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport to be conveniently located to meet their
travel needs.
Furthermore, 90% of Valley residents oppose the idea of closing Sky Harbor in favor of a regional airport between Phoenix and Tucson.
